Libraries and museums across the country have established and are implementing maker spaces and maker programming. These spaces serve as sites of learning. Here, we present a framework to guide and grow the capacity of museum and library professionals as they create the conditions for learning to unfold within and through making experiences.
Making+Learning is a cooperative agreement between the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh and the Institute of Museum and Library Services. The project is supported by thought partners from the Exploratorium, the Chicago Public Library, North Carolina State University Libraries and the Maker Education Initiative.
